A Movie with Binx__poem

A Movie with Binx

First the ink dripper
dumps some hooey
on the skirt in the choo-choo
puffin’ to Chi
where the fat cat
twinkles past the cold box
by flappin’ wings
to mammysville.
Lights go out for deep pockets’ caddie
when the air jockeys
start jukin’ in the clouds
so Shakespeare grabs a roscoe
to papa the twist
while a combo scoots
into Dixie’s dreambox
for some flat-foot hi-jinx
and a Romeo double-cross
until Pops starts singin’
and goes Slappy Maxie
on some cream-puff’s pan
for an 8 count, then gets
bit by a shiv in the bucket,
punching his ticket longways.

Meanwhile, angels pass so closely
we hear gristle in their wings creak.
