A February Release
A February Release
Land Ho, you’re in the swim of things.
So much for clinical depression.
If I were you I’d pick-up
where I left off, I’d circumnavigate.
While you’ve been away
the moon married a gazelle,
both were chased down, lip-serviced,
and given embarrassingly good jobs.
The moon had always been
a sorceress’ sorceress:
kick-ass plough girl,
one who always had your back.
Not so the gazelle,
dandy be he, confound it!
No sooner had they wed
than he got the upper hand,
stopped her white rambles. Difficult
enough in times of plenty, but tonight!
I suppose you’ve had it up to here.
What with the leechings
and your new face. Luckily,
excess has so much to offer,
like this and that
giving it both barrels
on the horn-carved cusp
of Mardi Gras’ first parade.
